MLk Day of Service

Citizen Hope members spread out around the Bay Area participating in service projects in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Projects included a playground cleanup in the Bayview, tree planting along MLK Jr. Way in Oakland, a park cleanup at Alamo Square, food gardening at Lincoln Elementary in Richmond, and a cleanup project in Chinatown. Special thanks to Ashley White Stern, Eric Politzer, Deb Roby and Marika Goodrich for the photos. And our additional leads Kristy Young, Michelle Easton, Jasmine Wallsmith, and Akshay Verma for making it happen!

Citizen Hope Holiday Love Party

Please join us this Xmas Night for Citizen Hope’s “Holiday Love for All” party!

We are proud to be supporting two wonderful local grassroots marriage equality advocacy organizations “API Equality” and “And Marriage for All” with a sliding scale $5-$20 donation. We will be joined by two of the Bay Area’s best DJs Sake-1 and King Most. Other special guests to be announced!

This is definitely going to be a party, but its also a social action! By celebrating ‘Love For All’ on Xmas Night, we are showing support for family, love and our fundamental civil rights. We should not let anyone stop us from celebrating who we are, what we believe in, and our determination to fight on.

So, for those of you celebrating with the fam, please soak up as much holiday love as you can from the relatives and then come on over to 330 Ritch Xmas night and let it all out!

We know many people will not be able to to leave the Bay Area and get back to their immediate families over the holidays, so please consider this Citizen Hope event your ‘home away from home.’ And whatever it is that you celebrate during this time of year, we want you to join us on the night of the 25th!

For those of you that won’t be able to make it–please take a couple minutes and invite a bunch of your friends who might be in town!

And if you’re looking for love, this party is for you too!

This will be a holiday party to remember!

Holiday love for all!
